It offers a cost-effective way to get an internationally recognised qualification.TKT will help to build your knowledge and confidence. You can take as many modules as you want over any time period and you'll receive a certificate for each module you complete.Whether you are a new teacher or have years of experience, TKT enables you to prove your teaching knowledge.

Core modules develop and prove your knowledge about the principles and practice of English language teaching:
Core modules
Module 1 – Background to language learning and teaching
This module covers common terms and concepts, the factors underpinning the learning of English, and the choices teachers can make to meet the needs of their learners.
Module 2 – Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching
This module focuses on what teachers consider and do when they're planning a lesson or series of lessons. It also looks at the reference resources available and the materials they could use.
Module 3 – Managing the teaching and learning process
This module covers the classroom language used by the teacher or learners, the roles the teacher can fulfil, and how they can manage and exploit classroom events and interactions.
Specialist modules introduce specialist areas of English language teaching:
TKT: CLIL – Content and Language Integrated Learning
This module covers the aims and rationale of a CLIL approach, including the planning, teaching and assessment of CLIL, and learning demands and support strategies for learners.
TKT: YL – Young Learners
This module covers concepts related to young learner learning and development, including the planning, teaching and assessment of young learners' work.
