LanguageCert
SELT for UK VI
Skills for English: SELT is a Secure English Language Test (SELT) approved by the UK Home Office (UK Visas and Immigration) for visa, settlement, and citizenship applications. It's delivered by PSI Services (UK) Ltd and assured by Qualifications Scotland. It is one of only 4 SELT providers approved for testing outside the UK — the others being the IELTS SELT Consortium, LanguageCert, and Pearson (a 5th provider, Trinity College London, is approved for tests taken inside the UK only).
ICD is the PSI-authorized test centre for Skills for English: SELT in Pakistan. The test is entirely computer-based, taken in a single session, with no examiner present in the room — Reading and Listening are auto-marked, while Speaking and Writing are marked afterward by trained assessors who don't see the candidate's personal details.

FAQs
Will I get a numeric score or a certificate?
The result verified for your visa application is Pass/Fail at the level you booked — no certificate is issued, and verification is entirely paperless via your Unique Reference Number (URN). That said, the official results portal does show a percentage score for each individual skill alongside its pass/fail outcome, so you can see more detail than a bare pass/fail if you check your result online.
How long does it take to get my results?
PSI's marketing states results in as little as 3–5 days, or up to 14 days; the official FAQ states results are aimed for within 14 days, with up to 28 days maximum in some cases. It's safer to tell candidates to expect up to 2–4 weeks rather than promising 3–5 days.
How long is my result valid for?
2 years from the date your result is awarded.
I failed — how soon can I retake the test?
You can book again as soon as you've received your previous result, though PSI recommends waiting at least 28 days to prepare. No refund applies for a failed test.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, free of charge if done more than 5 days before your test date, with an automatic refund. No refund applies for cancellations made less than 5 days before the test.
I disagree with my result — can I appeal?
Yes, within 21 days of receiving your result, for a $130 review fee. The fee is refunded only if the appeal changes your result from Fail to Pass.
What ID do I need to bring?
The same ID you registered with — a passport is accepted everywhere; other government IDs are only valid in the country that issued them.
Can I take the test from home?
All Skills for English: SELT tests are computer-based and must be taken at an authorized test centre — there is no online/at-home option for the UKVI version.
