Who Is This Course For?
This course suits teachers currently working in an educational context, IELTS tutors, and anyone who wants to start delivering IELTS preparation courses — including people without a teaching background who have strong English and communication skills and are considering a move into this field. Prior knowledge of the IELTS exam itself isn't required.
What You Will Learn
By the end of the course, trainers should be able to:
Writing
Explain the Writing test format to students, clarify the difference between the two tasks, and teach strategies for each — plus how to give useful feedback on students' writing
Listening
Explain the Listening test format and question types, teach tactics for common problem areas, and adapt materials for extra practice
Reading
Explain the Reading test format and question types, and use classroom activities that build students' reading strategies and comprehension
Speaking
Explain the Speaking test format, teach techniques for each part of the test, and run activities that build students' fluency, accuracy, and confidence
Registration Process
Submit Application
Submit your application through ICD's online form. Shortlisted candidates receive an offer letter.
Payment & Enrolment
Pay the course fee and share the payment receipt to confirm enrolment.
Access Portal
Once enrolled, you'll receive your login details by email to begin coursework on ICD's portal.
Each of the four annual intakes (Jan, April, July, October) runs for 3 months.
